SYNOPSIS

Don’t sleep with your best friend.

Take it from me. I did it. And it was awful.

I-wish-the-tequila-made-me-forget kind of bad.

The problem is, Luke has forgotten. He swears that he can’t remember a thing about that night beyond the trays of tequila shots being set on the tables.

Except I can’t forget. I can’t forget how good his hands felt until I fell over and hit my hip on the dresser, and I sure as hell can’t forget the entire two minutes of tap-tap-squirt.

Awkward. Embarrassing. And the new subject of a couple of dirty lucid dreams.

But I have no intention of telling him what we did. Nothing good comes from telling your best friend he’s the worst guy you’ve ever slept with.

Which makes the tequila on my birthday a very, very bad idea…

review

Words cannot describe how much I loved and needed this book! Every single one of Emma’s books never fails to have me in fits of giggles but this one was something else, I swear I had a permanent smile the entire way through and now my face hurts (totally worth it)!

Aspen and Luke have been best friends forever, there is not a moment in the other one’s lives that they missed – including the good, the bad and most definitely the ugly. They’ve always acknowledged that the other is quite attractive but never thought anything of it. That was until their good friend Tequila got involved. After 1, 2…20 shots, Luke is carrying Aspen home only for their faces to accidentally get a bit too close and then the next thing they knew they were kissing. One thing led to another and lets just say that Aspen woke up with not only a banging headache but also a very naked Luke in her bed – oops. What’s more, it turns out tequila really doesn’t help your performance, if you catch my drift.

After a night from hell all Aspen wants to do is forget all about it, I mean how can she tell her best friend he was the worst she’s ever had? Cue extreme embarrassment. So when Luke seems to be totally clueless she decides to never breathe a word of that night ever again, if only to save Luke’s ego. But little did she know that Luke remembers everything in perfect (or not so perfect) detail….

Now faced with the knowledge that they both remember that fateful night, and that neither of them has been able to think of anything apart from what it would’ve been like sober – will they be able to remain best friends or will they become so much more?

As always I loved these two as the lead characters, Aspen in particular who was everything you would want in a snarky and feisty leading lady. I loved their chemistry and their teasing – could not put it down! But mainly, I absolutely loved Abuelita – she is the best and the craziest grandma I have ever known, both in fiction and real life! Highly, highly recommended!! Cannot wait for more from Emma 💗
