Solis by Elda Lore

Are you ready for a mythical romance like no other?
Blurb

Veva Matron is a feisty girl raging with suppressed anger and distrust of men.

Solis Cronus is a blindingly beautiful, Greek god of a guy, who likes to play women.

An electric hatred thunders through each of them about the other until one night, lightning strikes. A world of secrets reveals the destiny of two at odds with one another, and clouds the line between love and hate. Can a lively girl find calm in the stormy tension of a boy made of sunshine and sin?

The mythical tale of Zeus and Hera reignites in this modern interpretation of enemies to lovers. Full of flirty sexual angst and teasing temptation, Solis might be the one man who can extinguish Veva’s angry fire and ignite a different sort of flame: desire.

Raised as a prototype for the Georgian Bratva’s obedience drug, 221 fails to think, act, or live for himself; he’s his master’s perfectly-crafted killing puppet. REVIEW

OMG THIS BOOK! There is definitely a common theme in every single review of this book which is one of pure excitement, astonishment and awe – it is THAT GOOD!

221 has been used as a human weapon from a young age. He’s been drugged, tortured and abused for years upon years and has no memory of his past. With no clue who he once was he only knows himself as 221, an obedient, undefeated killing machine. So when he’s freed by an unknown man who fights just like him, he doesn’t understand why.

Talia Tolstaia has had enough of her family’s life. She’s tired of the violence, the danger and the secrets, so she escapes to her family’s estate. But her relaxing stay there soon ends when 221 is put in the basement. She knows she should stay away, she knows he’s no good for her but she can’t seem to resist him.

After wishing for the soul shattering love that her best friend and brother share, has Talia found the man of her dreams?

I don’t want to ruin this book for you so I’ll keep this short. When I finished reading Raze I was left completely drained after experiencing every emotion possible and then left in a complete book hangover. I thought I’d be prepared for Reap after that but I was so wrong. There are so many ways of praising and describing how wonderful this book is I could probably write a book on it. It’s beautiful, powerful, addictive and utterly compelling. I loved our beautifully broken 221, I loved our strong heroine Talia and I loved the journey that they experience together. Once you start Reap, you won’t be able to stop and you certainly won’t be able to do much afterwards due to pretty impressive book hangover you’ll be experiencing.

I always know I’m going to fall madly in love with a Tillie Cole book, but she still manages to stun me and make me fall that little bit harder each and every time – Reap is a prime example.

ABOUT TILLIE COLE

Tillie Cole Author PicAmazon & USA Today Best Selling Author, Tillie Cole, is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother — a farmer’s daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
Being a scary blend of Scottish and English, Tillie embraces both cultures; her English heritage through her love of HP sauce and freshly made Yorkshire Puddings, and her Scottish which is mostly demonstrated by her frighteningly foul-mouthed episodes of pure rage and her much loved dirty jokes.

Having been born and raised as a Teesside Smoggie, Tillie, at age nineteen, moved forty miles north to the ‘Toon’, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where she attended Newcastle University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Religious Studies. She returned two years later to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching High School Social Studies. Tillie, regards Newcastle to be a home from home and enjoyed the Newcastle Geordie way of life for seven ‘proper mint’ and ‘lush’ years.

One summers day, after finishing reading her thousandth book on her much loved and treasured Kindle, Tillie turned to her husband and declared, “D’you know, I have a great idea for a story. I could write a book.” Several months later, after repeating the same tired line at the close of another completed story, she was scolded by her husband to shut up talking about writing a novel and “just bloody do it!” For the first time in eleven years, Tillie actually took his advice (he is still trying to get over the shock) and immediately set off on a crazy journey, delving deep into her fertile imagination.

Tillie, ever since, has written from the heart. She combines her passion for anything camp and glittery with her love of humour and dark brooding men (most often muscled and tattooed – they’re her weakness!). She also has a serious side (believe it or not!) and loves to immerse herself in the complex study of World Religions, History and Cultural Studies and creates fantasy stories that enable her to thread serious issues and topics into her writing — yep, there’s more to this girl than profanity and sparkles!

After six years of teaching high school Social Studies and following her Professional Rugby Player husband around Europe, they have finally given up their nomadic way of life and settled in Calgary, Alberta where Tillie spends most of her days (and many a late night) lost in a writing euphoria or pursuing a dazzling career as a barrel-racing, tasselled-chap wearing, Stetson-sporting cowgirl… Ye-haw!

His Muse by Coral F. Black

So I finally have another review for you! I’ve been ill for a while so I’ve been slacking – sorry! But just look how pretty this cover is!!

Blurb
No one had ever looked at me like that. Especially not the hottest man I’d ever seen. He had the lean, tan muscles of a world class athlete, thick black hair, huge hands marbled by big veins. Before he picked up his camera to shoot, he looked at me with eyes that could have set me on fire.

Nothing else mattered; he was all I wanted.

But when Daniel Baldessari called me “undateable” in order to get a reaction for the perfect fashion shot, I knew I was really in trouble.

And after that first shoot, things started getting even stranger. Who was the “mystery client” that wanted to hire me for an exclusive contract and was sending me gorgeous flowers and boxes of sexy silk clothing and stilettos so that I’d say yes? Why did Daniel Baldessari’s beautiful cousin keep showing up at his house? And what was the dark secret from his past that threatened to tear us apart before I could find out if this maddening man even wanted me?I knew I had to find out.

Review

As this is a short read there’s not too much I can say without ruining the story for you so I’ll keep my review short and sweet also.

Twyla is trying to make it as a model to support her family and when she finally lands herself a job with a brilliant photographer she couldn’t be happier. The only thing is it’s for a mysterious client. When she arrives and meets the photographer, the Daniel Balderssari, she’s blown away by his good looks. But when he opens his mouth and is nothing but rude to her, her fantasy is ruined.

Running home she knows she shouldn’t think of Daniel, but she can’t forget him. And when her unknown client sends her gifts and sends Daniel after her she knows she hasn’t seen the last of him yet. But who is this mystery client, and what is Daniel really after?

A really intriguing storyline, I can’t wait to see where the story goes next!

Chapter 1: Gaze

When I met Daniel Baldessari, I didn’t know what real romantic love was. But I didn’t really care.

All I cared about was how he looked at me. No one had ever looked at me that way. Especially not the hottest man I’d ever laid eyes on.

Like a hunter about to pounce on his prey and lick her to death.

“Twyla,” he growled, his voice deep and rich like dark honey. “Unusual.”

“Daniel Baldessari,” I said back, surprising myself with the breathiness of my voice. I usually wasn’t a flirt. But the way he looked at me…I could feel my body lotion melting on my skin. I swallowed hard and my legs trembled like a deer’s in the crazy high sandals he’d had me wear.

I’d come to Daniel’s studio in his home in the hills above the city. An Italian villa with balustrades and columns, walls overgrown with bougainvillea and morning glory vines. Large plate glass windows overlooked the city that was sparkling after a very unusual and much-needed Los Angeles rain. I walked down a path lined with long, pointed cypress trees, up the marble steps to the front door. A dark-haired woman in a pencil skirt and sky-high heels met me and ushered me inside.

Daniel Baldessari was leaning against the wall wearing a white collared shirt open at the neck and jeans that clung to his ass and thighs and threatened to tear at the knee.

Those eyes were watching me where I stood in the bright light of the room. So intense.

Was he mad at me? Did I look all right? I felt my knees weaken and practically buckle under me. How was I going to model?

“Twyla, are you feeling uncomfortable?” he asked. “Do you feel good in the clothes?” He was holding a large, black, expensive-looking camera and his sleeves were rolled up so I could see the veins in his arms and hands.

Vein porn.

“The dress is beautiful,” I said. “I love everything.” I sounded like a twelve-year old.

“Then why do you look so tense?” He wasn’t smiling.

I stared down at the shiny white floor that matched the flawless walls. Then I made myself look back up at him.

“This is my first time,” I blurted.

“Really?” He put down his camera and came over to me. He was much taller than I was, even in the high heels. The body of a world-class athlete. I realized I was holding my breath.

“Where are you from?” he asked. He was close enough that I could smell the clean, foresty scent of his thick, black curls.

“Ohio.”

“That’s very exotic.”

“I know, right?” I tried to joke back. He still didn’t smile.

“Well, Twyla from Ohio, it’s nice to be your first.”

I didn’t think I was imagining the implication. What could I say to that? I pressed my thighs together and the thong dug into me, not in a bad way.

He went on, “But this is the big city and I need you to nail this. You got this job without a go-see. No one gets that opportunity. And I’m not sure if you realize that every minute we waste is costing the client money.”

If I hadn’t been aware, I was then. God, I wanted to please him. It was instinctual, powerful. And it wasn’t just about pleasing the client. I need to get the money to send to Jack.

“Now, just relax.”

Right.

“Pretend you’re alone, with your boyfriend, doing something you love.”

I blushed again; I could feel it travelling from my cheeks down my throat to the tops of my breasts. If I weren’t careful, my nipples would light up.

“What?” He sounded really impatient now.

“No boyfriend,” I said. There was Cooper but he wasn’t like Daniel Baldessari.

Compared to Daniel, Cooper was a boy in the presence of a man.

“That’s impossible,” Daniel said. “A young woman like you.” I felt myself melt a little. Was he flirting? Then he paused, held up his camera and pointed it at me like a weapon. “Unless. Is there something undateable about you?”

My mouth dropped open and adrenaline shot through my body. “What did you just say?”

But Daniel Baldessari was busy snapping photos of my animated expression, my adrenalized body.

“That!” he said. “That’s what I want.”The manipulative piece of… And that was how it began.

Dylan O’Shea leaned back, arms crossed, one booted foot pressed against the stone wall of the western-most battlement. His gaze was locked on the storm brewing over the Atlantic. Violent winds drove sheets of rain across the Cliffs of Mohr. The green of the grass echoed the peaks and valleys of the sea where waves rose and crashed forward. There was no reckless abandon in their brute attack, but a steady, repetitious pounding that reverberated through the ground and into the castle stones, passing right through the soles of his feet. He watched, unblinking, as lightning struck shallow water. The deafening crack of thunder sent a shockwave of sound through his chest. Both should have invigorated him. Neither did.

Chin tipped forward, icy rainwater ran off his downcast lashes and the tip of his nose. A sound not unlike a woman’s sigh wove through the shrieking wind. He glanced up and shoved his drenched hair back, looking around. No one there, but he wasn’t surprised.

Still, the sound had his mind pulling up the image of a black-haired beauty with eyes bluer than the shallows near the cliffs and a mouth he couldn’t help but consider wanton. Three hundred years he’d searched for her on the goddess, Danu’s, directive. Three hundred years he’d conjured her image during every empty night. Three hundred years he’d spent with that face, and he’d come to want her like he’d never wanted another. And now her time—their time—was coming. He knew it with the same certainty he knew this storm wasn’t a natural occurrence. Not with the extremes he witnessed. No, the balance of the elements was already out of order. It left him uneasy, bordering violent, as he considered how the woman might fit into the threat that built on the air.

And if he knew the elemental balance was threatened, the Elder Council did as well. It also meant it wouldn’t be long before they sought him out, and it was about time.
Idleness was driving him mad. Or, if he were dealing in honesty, madder.

As if summoned by his thoughts, one of the very men he’d been considering pushed through the iron-banded wooden door. “It’s time.”

“Time.” Dylan blinked slowly before turning his attention back to the sea. “It’s a subjective topic, is it no’?”

“Stalling will do little but delay the inevitable.”

“You engage me, of all people, with talk of delaying the inevitable?” The bite of his voice broke through the storm’s fury, and the man in the doorway bristled.

“The Elder Council waits for no one, Assassin, not even you.”

The slamming of the door would have normally made Dylan smile. Not today.

Shoving off the wall, he dropped his hand to the door latch when a whiff of citrus and heavy spice tickled his nose, the long-forgotten scent called up from memory with the same gut-churning effect as a rollercoaster’s first radical drop. Dylan froze. Rain still ran in rivers down his face, but the pelting he’d been taking faded. Uneasy, his free hand drifted to his dirk, fisting the handle.

Owned by M Never

New Release for today Owned by M Never Book 1 in the  Decadence After Dark series – a dark erotic romance is definitely an apt description for this one. For mature readers only!

Synopsis

“I like you collared, baby. I like you naked, I like you mine.”

Ellie Stevens has lusted over Kayne Roberts since he first walked into the import/export company she works for a little over a year ago. As Expo’s most important client, Ellie has always kept a safe distance from the man with the majestic blue eyes – until temptation finally gets the better of her. Impulsively, Ellie invites Kayne to one of Expo’s infamous company parties her flamboyant boss is notorious for throwing. Unbeknownst to Ellie, the god in the Armani suit isn’t just the suave entrepreneur he portrays himself to be. Underneath the professional exterior is a man with a secret life, dark desires, and nefarious contacts.

In a hidden corner of a trendy New York City lounge, the spark kindling between the two of them ignites. Unable to resist the sinful attraction, Ellie agrees to leave with Kayne, believing she is finally bedding the man of her dreams. Little does she know when she walks out the door, she’s about to be Owned.

Owned is a dark erotic romance. Please pay close attention to the use of the words dark, erotic, and romance. It has intense sexual situations, a Master/slave relationship, mild abuse, and some violence. Reader discretion is advised.

Review

Owned is book 1 in the decadence after dark series and that couldn’t describe this book better – pure decadence best enjoyed after dark. This book wasn’t what I was expecting but I wasn’t disappointed – insanely hot and definitely a dark erotic romance this isn’t one for the light-hearted.

Ellie Stevens has worked at Expo for a couple of years now slowly moving her way up the ranks. Having never been able to afford to go to college she’s been saving her whole life to fulfil her dreams, see the world and get herself a better education. For the last year she’s been lusting after their biggest client, Kayne Roberts. Drop dead gorgeous and intriguing as hell she’s always admired him from afar. But when he comes in for a meeting her lust gets the better of her and she can’t resist flirting with him over the mini cupcakes.

Arranging to see each other at a work party Ellie can’t believe she’s finally got the chance to be with the man whose occupied her dreams incessantly. But will the reality of being with him match her fantasies?

Kayne isn’t exactly what he appears to be. Turning up to Expo’s party he’s anxious to see Ellie after admiring her for a long time. Having never thought he could be with her he’s stayed away but after she practically offers herself to him he just can’t resist. When the two finally meet they don’t plan to stay for long but when an acquaintance of Kayne’s drops by and sees Ellie, the plan drastically changes.

In a bid to protect Ellie Kayne does the only thing he can think of – claims her. Kidnapping her and locking her away in his mansion he goes to desperate lengths to make her his and keep her safe.

Ellie meanwhile has no clue what’s going on, waking up in a strange place, held against her will with Kayne telling her she’s now his to control – that she’s his new pet.

Weeks pass and Ellie learns what being Kayne’s truly means – an idea that doesn’t seem as bad as it did originally. But something is going on with Kayne, she’s already learnt one of his secrets but what else is he hiding? And will she be able to forgive him when she finds out?

Owned was not what I was expecting – I was thinking girl meets guy, guy is a Dom, and he introduces her to his world. But oh how wrong I was. Full of twists and turns this book is much more than you think. Yes the first 60% has some pretty intense erotic scenes between Ellie and Kayne which some people may find difficult to read but it’s in the last 40% of the book you get the idea that everything isn’t as it seems.

Dangerously hot and darkly intense Owned is a shocking and erotic read you’ll enjoy best after dark. The dual POVs really help to develop the story and you’ll be screaming in frustration for more than one reason. The chemistry between the two character makes for a great read and it sure does end with a bang! Bring on Book 2!

Filthy Desire by Sebastian Ex

A dark and erotic romance Filthy Desire is not one for the easily offended nor the faint-hearted. Intense, dark and sensual this book is definitely one for the mature reader!

Synopsis

My name is Matthew Weston. Don’t call me anything else,  because I won’t respond. And if you think you can get away with whimpering ‘Matt’ while I have you tied to the bed, about to devour you, it’ll end up being your loss.

Men like me don’t talk about feelings. We just don’t.

What men like me do is pound. I pound the asphalt with my running shoes on morning runs. I pound a punching bag in the gym until my knuckles bleed. And when I need a release, I find a beautiful woman sprawled out on her bed, eagerly waiting for my cock, and pound her into oblivion. Yeah, that’s me. I don’t have feelings, and I don’t do love.

At least I didn’t, until the night Ella walked into my office looking like a disgusting junky to interview for a position for The Onyx Club.

She was like no one I’d ever met before. She was timid, reserved, and quite plain with her mousy brown hair and dirty clothes. Ella also had a dark and haunted gleam in her eye. A secret, a past she was desperate to conceal.

And when she called me ‘Matt’ it didn’t seem to bother me. She came into my life and turned it upside down. The only question is, can I screw her out of my system, or will my filthy desire for her keep her by my side?

Review

I think the title pretty much sums up what you’re in for – filthy, passionate, intense desire and lust, with a drama filled storyline to boot! This is definitely not one for the faint hearted, it’s a dark erotic read only intended for those over 18 and don’t mind reading about the darker side of BDSM.

I have to say I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into when I received this ARC – pages of pure filth? A story with a bit of filth? No story? Well it goes without saying there was definitely some (*ahem* a lot of) filth but I was pleasantly surprised to find a pretty damn good storyline too!

Matthew Weston is the co-owner of a popular club which he owns with his bestfriend and is someone who definitely knows what he wants. Rich, arrogant and dominant, Matthew doesn’t take crap from anyone, including anyone who can’t follow his one rule, don’t call him Matt. His name is Matthew, not ‘Matt’, call him anything other than Matthew and you’re out, even if that someone is a beautiful woman waiting in bed for him.

Matthew doesn’t have a heart, he doesn’t pretend to have one either. He doesn’t love nor does he care – life is simpler that way.

When a scrap of a girl walks into his office looking like a washed up junky asking for a job he can’t say no quick enough. But when he discovers how dire her situation is he takes her in and gives her a job clearing tables.

No matter how hard he tries this girl has a way of getting under his skin – he wants to protect her, claim her and mark her as his, nothing else could be as important as making her his.

Ella is broken. Running from the worst possible hell you could imagine, she’s running scared and desperate. She finds her salvation in Matthew. She knows he’s dominant, has a constant need for control, which after her past life should scare her but he makes her feel safe…protected…perhaps even loved.

As Ella starts to create a life for herself, learning to put her trust in Matthew and allow her confidence to grow, Matthew is changing with her, allowing her to revive the pieces of his heart and teach him how to love.

But when Ella’s past becomes her present once more and her nightmares become reality, will Matthew be able to save her once more or will he be too late?

When we first meet Matthew I wasn’t really sure if I’d warm up to him as he was such an arrogant bastard! I mean some of the stuff he said to Ella when they first meet? What an arse! But the way he builds her back up again and lets her confidence grow definitely won me over. His protective and dominant streaks are super hot and the filth? Holy Smokes that was hot! Definitely high up on the page-on-fire-panties-are-melting scale!

And because we are just so lucky Jennifer has even given us this little cheeky excerpt! ENJOY!….

excerpt

I was a half-blood, but I was also the Apollyon, a child of a pure and a half, a union that had been forbidden for thousands of years because an Apollyon was more powerful than any pure or half could ever hope to be.

And I always got to the traitors’ hideouts before they did, so the Sentinels were usually left with the cleanup, which I was sure absolutely thrilled them.

The first to enter was a female half-blood dressed just as I was. Her black hair was pulled back in a neat little knot at the top of her head. She was older, probably in her mid-thirties. It was pretty rare for a Sentinel to live that long. Her dark skin paled as she stopped just inside the entrance. She clenched titanium daggers in her hands like she expected something vicious to pop out from under the bloody mess.

The female Sentinel tipped her chin up, and the overhead light sliced across her broad cheekbones. She bore a jagged scar under her right eye, the skin lighter in tone. She saw me and froze.

My smile widened.

Behind her, another Sentinel rushed in, almost mowing her over. He saw me and whispered, “Seth.”

He’d said my name like I was the monster under his bed, and I sort of liked that. Then another Sentinel and another rolled in. The fifth took one look at my interior design work and keeled over. Slamming his hands on his knees, he hurled up his dinner.

Nice.

Our society existed completely unknown to the average mortal and had operated under what was known as the Breed Order for thousands of years. The Order had been dismantled, which meant halfs were no longer forced to choose between becoming Sentinels—hunting down violent creatures, protecting pures, enforcing laws, and otherwise usually dying pretty damn quickly on the job—or servants, which was a job that really wasn’t a job, but more like slavery. Since then, many pampered pures had signed on to be Sentinels, making up for the loss of the halfs who’d pretty much said “screw this shit, I’m out.”

This wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

For example, the dumbass puking all over my blood-covered floor was a pure. When he straightened, his face a greenish hue, he backed away, shaking his head. “I can’t,” he gasped out. “I can’t do this.”

Then he turned and hauled ass out the doors.
I sighed. This was why we couldn’t have nice things.
